'Veins' is an intimate and exploratory series created after the artist’s relocation to a new country. Through these works, the artist reflects on cultural and national identity, exploring the emotional and physical connection to homeland and heritage. This body of work speaks to the quiet strength found in one’s roots—enduring, often unseen, yet deeply felt, like veins running beneath the surface.

The series includes a sculptural piece made from wire and textiles, embodying both fragility and resilience. Its linear form evokes branching veins or roots, suggesting a life force that connects past and present. A second work mirrors this shape in two dimensions through a combination of paper collage and embroidery, layered with expressive strokes of acrylic paint. This painted surface becomes a metaphor for the complexity of identity: layered, sometimes obscured, but always present.

Blending material experimentation with personal narrative, 'Veins' expresses the artist’s search for belonging and strength during a time of transition. Each piece offers a tactile meditation on the threads that connect us to where we come from and what we carry forward.
